.....it's all about insurance and preparedness.March 3, 2008 0 out of 4 found this review helpful
Well made. Real review is yet to come...and I hope that never happens. Keeping it in the right place..easily accessable would be key in a real emergency. It is possible that this item could have other uses...ie. cutting string...breaking other glass...maybe a little ice.

I purchased this emergency hammer to replace a freebie I picked up somewhere. I am really disappointed. The hammer is dainty. I am sure it will work so I am giving it 2 stars. I would not buy another.

Product is well crafted and constructed. Fortunately I have not been in a situation where I had to test its intended use. Bought another one for my wife's car.
The Hammer!February 5, 2008 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
This product arrived in a tilmey manner and was just as described. I have not had the opportunity to try it out on anything (thankfully) but I will be placing it in my car for easy access in the case of an emergency.
Looks Cool!January 26, 2008 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
I don't drive near lakes, nor worry about having an accident where I would need to break a window. I bought it because it looked slick; though mostly as a conversation piece when I have 'those kind of' passengers . ;-)
When I received the product, I mounted it promptly in my car. For mounting I affixed Velcro (the pointy / hard side) to the back of the base, this allowed me to mount the hammer anywhere there is carpet. Currently it's mounted behind the center console, so all 4 passengers (and driver) can reach it.
