This thing works! June 17, 2008 I knew this would be plastic when I ordered it, but when I finally put it to use, I realized that this is sturdy plastic! It also adjusts to different angles and you can use the page holder or not. It is pretty versatile. I gave it as a present to my roommate and she loves it! I see her using it all the time!
bookholder June 2, 2008 The booklift copyholder is plastic, tho' it looks like metal. I got it to use on my treadmill, but it slides, so I had to attach velcro to the holder & treadmill. Then it covers up the dials, so isn't quite what I wanted, but it's sort of useful. It works better as a cookbook holder.
A reader's dream come true! June 2, 2008 This item is perfect for almost every sized book and fits nicely on all the trays for aerobic equipment at the gym! A life (and brain) saver!
Flimsy, but it'll work... for now May 18, 2008 The design is flawless. If they just made it out of better materials, I'm sure many of us would pay 4 - 5x this price.
It works as advertised, but I don't anticipate it lasting very long. One of the page holding pegs at the bottom pops off nearly every other time I change the page. It's more of a nuisance than a problem, as it easily snaps back into place, but how long until it wears down the plastic clamp holding it there?
Works Great , Sturdy, and Good Price May 11, 2008 I am quadriplegic and can't hold open a book. This book holder works great for holding small or large books. Only issue for me, it being made of hard light-weight plastic, it has a tendency to move when I turn pages, but I found that by slipping a non-skid cloth underneath it, it stays in place. I would recommend this product from Amazon, as other suppliers are wanting between 40-50 dollars for the same item.
