Amazon.com Product Description The Aiwa XP-V70 personal CD player offers an electronic antishock system with a 40-second buffer memory. It has extended horizontal motion tolerance range and a precision laser focus servo control that's less likely to mistrack when you accidentally bump or shake the player.Features include track and disc repeat, 24-selection random program memory, and Dynamic Super Linear Bass boost. The bass boost circuitry is an electronic equalizer that compensates for bass roll-off and extends the headphone's low-frequency response. The amount of compensation varies according to signal level to prevent distortion so you hear more natural-sounding bass. This model comes with adjustable stereo headphones and an AC adapter.

| Customer Reviews: Very pleased with this player. May 21, 2000 34 out of 35 found this review helpful
I bought the XP-V70 a few weeks ago and love it. I have not had ANY problems with it skipping, and that means even when I have it in the car or turn it completely upside down. The one I bought came with A/C adapter and car kit. The sound when using the car kit is not that great, but it's passable. The headphones are comfortable and have very good sound. The design of the player is compact and sleek. I have really enjoyed owning it. Plus, I **love** that this thing has a built in battery charger.
Aiwa is Amazing and Afordable October 16, 2000 trin20t@zoomtown.com (cincinnati, ohio) 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
This is one of the best out! Since sony and aiwa is 1 and the same, you know you get great quality. It sounds great although the headphones are flimsy and lack bass a tad. It's E.A.S.S Plus 40 second electronic antishock system is excellant.Very easy to read LED display which shows a battery symbol of how much juice is left instead of a beep or flashy battery icon.DSL or Dynamic Super Linear Bass feels in the bass in 2 steps. With natural deep bass and NO distortions,it came in handy when i play bassheavy rap and dance tracks. The buttons are well laid out too. This cd player plays cdrs, enhanced cd,and even played my mp3cd's when converted to wav format and stored on a cdr with no skipping at all!I bumped it,hit it,slamed my fist(i'm heavy handed) on it,and it NEVER skipped!!!At this price buy 2 and a extra set of headphones if you prefer.
Good CD player-but it doesn't play burned cds all the time. January 13, 2001 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a good CD player, but when you turn on the E.A.S.S. (skip protection), it won't play alot of cd's that are burned. And even when it sometimes does play a burned cd with the EASS on, it will sometimes shut itself off. I know a kid at school with the same player, and his doesn't always work properly with the EASS on while playing a burned CD. Other than that, it is a nice player with good sound quality. I really like the light-up display and the lighted battery low indicator, though.
