Clip broke in 2 days October 14, 2008
The clip holding the phone and the clip broke within two days of use. A shoddy product.
Bulky, microphone not so good and no speech technology September 7, 2008 Generally a good device, but I returned it. I had trouble mounting it due to its bulkiness. I wanted it plugged in all the time so that I would not have to worry about it being discharged. Also, I had had complaints from people that I called that the microphone or DSP made me sound like I had my head in a coffee can. I returned it and went with the BlueAnt device. It mounted more conveniently, had no sound problem and has text to speech technology that aids in hands-free operation.
Too much hype... ignore it all. August 28, 2008 I really thought I had made the best purchase based on the reviews. I think somebody was bought off. The sound on the other end is terrible and it pretty much sucks on my end too. I got nothing but complaints when using it. The icing on the cake was when its connector to the sun visor snapped off. I am chalking this one up to experience. If the review sounds too good and looks to slick to be true, it probably is. I just bought the new 3G iPhone which has an updated and outstanding speaker and mic system that gives me the best speaker phone I have ever used. I just lay it on up the dash under the glass and the people on the other end can't tell me if I am moving or not. As usual, Apple knows how to do it right.
Don't Bother August 27, 2008 First of all, the sound for the people you are speaking to on the other end is terrible. Every person I speak to with this device asks me if I'm in a tunnel. And the opening sounds that it makes when syncing with my iPhone are loud and obnoxious. But worst of all is if you leave your car and a call comes thru, when you come back the robotic voice from the device repeats over and over and over "Missed call...missed call....missed call". I can't figure out how to stop it from doing that. I wouldn't recommend this device, it's not intuitive, the sound is horrible and it's very annoying.
A top choice ... August 22, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
An excellent choice for in-car connection. It paired immediately with my iPhone (Though it would NOT pair with my Blackberry) and works "as advertised." The only flaws: low volume, and switch placement on the side of the unit. For some, the volume controls and "accept call" button will be hard to tell by touch while driving. I've hung up on several people while trying to adjust the volume. On the plus side, sound quality is excellent both in the car and on the other end of the conversation. A pull down microphone turns the unit on and is easy to operate. One of the best choices I've made on a Bluetooth accessory..
