Peace of mind when carrying your reader August 29, 2008 I bought this case since I was afraid of breaking my reader screen. Now I keep my reader in this case and throw it in my purse or bookbag, and I do not worry about the screen at all.
The ecaddy has a thin layer of neoprene along the inside of the lid and the bottom of the case, with a much thicker layer around the sides. The lid does stay on pretty snugly, but it is also fairly easy to remove. I keep my 505 in its original cover and it fits perfectly inside the ecaddy. I don't think the reader can move at all (it definitely would bounce around a little without the cover). As mentioned elsewhere, it isn't going to protect your reader from all potential damage, but it will definitely serve you well during typical day-to-day usage.
Should it really cost $25? Probably not... You can probably make it yourself for far less. But rather than find the perfectly sized tin and neoprene, I will gladly pay $25 again if I ever lose this one.
Definitely worth the money. July 1, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The Sony PRS-505 eReader fits perfectly inside. Case is sturdy without being overly heavy. If you are going to spend $270+ on an eReader, it is definitely worth buying one of these to protect your investment.

This Hardshell Case is great for when you are planning to travel with your reader. It really takes the bumps and bangs and your reader doesn't!

Bought this case a few weeks ago for the sony 505 reader, works as it should. I added a bible case to put it in to make it easier to travel with.
Works just fine February 29, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I just got this product for my PRS 500 and it does the job perfectly. It fits the reader just fine. I would've gave it 5 stars if the price was just a bit lower (however it is the only thing I've seen like it, so the law of supply and demand applies). Also the halves of the case fit tight but could snap together a little tighter, but I'm not concerned about it because it's going to be stuffed in my backpack anyway. I recommend this product.
