 GREAT PRICE and better than the one that came with my laptop September 20, 2008
This A/C Adapter has a light on the transformer to show that it is plugged in which was not a feature on the original adapter. It works great and costs less than the original. Also, it arrived earlier than promised.

Why are you reading this review? to find out if the seller sells crap or to find out if.... If you match the model numbers on your devices will it work?
Well... the seller sold me something that I was looking for. It worked when I first used it and it still works. It looks a little cheap but its what you can expect for this price.
I originally bought it so I can have more than one charger. One stationary and the other in my car for when I am not home. Besides it being short...(the cable) its good for a desk or something like that. mind you this problem can be fixed with an extention cord.

Circuit City would not give me a replacement cord even though my cord went bad in less than a year of owning my computer. This cord is an inexpensive replacement that works perfectly.

There are lots of different specific Compaq Presario laptops out there, and this product does not specify its voltage, output or compatibility by HP part numbers. In addition, there are less expensive replacement AC adapters specified as compatible with particular HP parts--for lots less than HP charges, and less that this unidentified electronic recharging object.
