very good phone October 24, 2008 This phone is very user-friendly. There is a button on the side that must be pushed in order to enhance the volume so the user with normal hearing doesn't get blasted with sound, but the hearing impaired user easily converts it by pushing the button. Good quality for a reasonable price.
to much static September 15, 2008 the phone is just ok. when i put the amplifier on, there is to much static to hear the other party
Perfect phone for my needs February 18, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
this is a quality phone and is not overloaded with complicated and useless features. Does what I wanted.
Okay phone but missing some critical features July 19, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this phone for an elderly relative who is both hard of hearing and has memory issues. While the phone does amplify adequately, it requires you to push a boost button every time you receive a call in order to turn on the amplification. This was not acceptable in our situation nor was it mentioned in the description of the product. I called the manufacturer and they told me that their higher end models have an override capability in which you can leave the amplification on permanently. This phone also does not have any speed dial buttons. I had to return this phone and get a different model.
Pros & Cons June 19, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Pros: Great for elderly - loud ring, large loud buttons, light flashes when rings, amplifies incoming sound, hangs on wall in kitchen (minimal space), easy to use, person on other end can hear you perfectly
Cons: There's a bit of an echo or something (probably with all that amplification) that you hear a bit of yourself. My parents say it's ok, but I want them to have a great phone. They love the other features.... so it's kind of a toss up...
