Solid mount - could be better October 30, 2008 this mount is very solid, and works well. my main issue is less with the mount itself v. my nec vt800 projector. the projector has a curved bottom surface that has a sharp drop off, where the mounting screws are. this caused me to have to go to the hardware store and find some plastic extensions and longer screws, in order for this mount to work, and not have to return the mount to amazon for another one.
once i got the pieces i needed, it was assembled in about 10 mins total. why i only give it 4 stars instead of 5 is simple. i had another mount for another difficult-to-mount projector that came with extensions that were bent at a 45 degree angle, which this mount should also have come with. the extensions pieces it comes with work well, and there's three different lengths, but none of them come pre-bent. it also comes with a ton of different spacers, but none of them are tall enough. had it come with pre-bent extensions, they would've sufficed, and i wouldn't have had to run to the hardware store. my other complaint about the mount is that it's not actually white, but off white, so i had to pull off all the screws and spray paint it white to match the ceiling. otherwise, it looks terrible with a white ceiling and off-white mount. in conclusion, the mount is fairly simple to mount, but could always be a bit simpler still. sans these two caveats, i'd still highly recommend the product for purchase, especially at this price. shipping was quick as usual too!
Funtional but tricky to set up May 29, 2008 I paired the Atdec TH-WH-PJ-FM mount with an Optoma HD70 720p DLP Home Theater Projector a few months ago, and I've got to say that once we got it all set up, it was worth every penny.
Well built mount May 27, 2008 Very well built mount, easy install and allows for a large range of adjustments and fine tuning. Would think this mount would work for just about any projector with included screws and support bars.
Mount May 25, 2008 This universal mount is truly universal and will adapt to any projector with the right choice of included brackets. The finished result looks neat and sturdy and has more than enough adjustment possibilities. Very happy with the purchase
easier than expected April 29, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I'm not the handiest guy and expected the mounting process to be a chore. However, I had no issues whatsoever. This thing comes with many different screw sets and one set exactly matched my Mits HC1500. From that point on, it was a piece of cake. It's very stable when locked in position. Occasionally the projector shakes, but that's only because my kids are jumping around and shaking the floor upstairs which vibrates the basement ceiling beam on which it's mounted. (A quick shout upstairs usually solves that issue.)
Also, I had to exchange the projector once so I went thru the mounting/unmounting replacement cycle and had no issues whatsoever. Overall a great product.
