 Keeps the dust down/Great delivery time November 16, 2008
These really keep the dust and allergens down. DO NOT BUT CHEAP FILTERS EVER!!! You can buy less expensive ones but we have a new baby and we feel that a cleaner enviorment would be better. With all the kids with asthma out there we thought "what the heck, it can't hurt. Also I ordered the filters at about 10am ant they were on my porch before noon the next day. Thanks.

Go to airnow.gov to see how your air is affecting you and your family. Protect youself, and especially your children, with the air filters. I lived in california and watched these filters turn black from polution after 30 days. Protect yourself and breathe easy.
Ultra Allergen October 3, 2008
I have been using 3M's Filtrete Ultra Allergen 1250 filters for years with great results. A good deal through Amazon.com, especially with prime shipping.

Day 1
I just received my single filter on this order. Thanks for the 16.95 shipping charge. The filter is totally mangled. I will be posting bad ratings daily until I get a full refund. Right now I am cautiously optimistic of BuilderDepot's customer service efforts. We will see what the next day holds for them. I wish I could attach a picture so you all could see how pathetic the packaging is. It seems plain to me that the spent about 2.00 on shipping this product. Totally unsatisfactory.
Oh and the description is a LIE. The price is for one filter not six.
Day 2
From BuilderDepot "I am requesting a shipper claim and when it is settled will refund."
So now I have to wait for the clam????

OK, you have to make a choice: Electrostatic or (like these) non-electrostatic filters. 3M makes both types of air filters. One electrostatic filters cost about the same as this 6-pack but it doesn't need to be replaced every 3 months. On the other hand, these filters are more effective. I made my choice and am happy with it. Compared to my previous filter, these are 10 times as good. With new filters, I didn't notice much loss in air flow but only time will tell what happens towards the end of their life.
