Product Description Universal, high-speed wireless networking is now practical with the 3Com 11a/b/g Wireless PC Card with XJACK Antenna. It supports all three IEEE 802.11 standards - 11a, 11b, and 11g - so, you can connect to regardless of the wireless environment you're in. Security includes 128-bit AES encryption, WPA support, and a host of other options. Set up and operation are extraordinarily easy with 3Com Wireless LAN Manager, making this card an intelligent choice for busy mobile users. You can create profiles with specific wireless LAN settings for each place you travel - just click the proper profile, and you are configured for connection. And, 3Com's patented, award-winning XJACK extends for excellent reception then tucks safely away for traveling. Other features like Autonomous Load Balancing and Dynamic Rate Shifting combine for reliable wireless connections that maximize performance and high-speed connections.

Great! April 24, 2008 Simply great performer, very handy. Works well with SUSE Linux on Lenovo laptop, no extra software needed.
It's a no brainer June 21, 2004 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This product is a solid performer. Unlike other products where you may not be able to carry a notebook in its carrying case, the antenna slides and becomes flush with the body of the notebook. It might seem cosmetic, but the value added is very real. Otherwise, the card performs as one would expect from a 3Com. The software (driver) is good. The default is to connect to any available router. There is another software product on the CD which allows you to connect adhoc to any other card but considering the security aspects, you might not wish to use that.
