I'm a ballet dancer, and I'm always looking for a really good workout that doesn't take a million hours to do but is very beneficial. I've been doing this workout for almost three weeks, and I love it! Each of the three levels are very challenging in their own way and work different parts of your body. For instance, the first level had difficult arm exercises; the second level had high intensity aerobics as well as arm and leg exercises; and the third level really works your legs and everything else (my inner thighs were sore for a couple of days after doing the third level).

Each level has three circuits of three minutes of arms, two minutes of aerobics, and one minute of abs. It really gets you breathing hard, so I suggest to be aware of your breathing and time it with the exercises.

The 30-Day Shred is geared toward a beg-intermediate workout. I bought this video to add to my weekly regime and she does not mess around! This video works on the 3-2-1 work out schedule for 20 mins. 3 mins cardio, 2 mins light weights and 1 min abs/core. Cardio and that is my weakness and this has strengthened my breathing. She keeps you moving hard for the whole 20 mins, just keep moving to catch your breath. I noticed tightness right away and I love the fact that she does moves completely different from my other dvds. This is definitely in the every-other-day rotation. If you are seriously wanting to lose weight or tighten up I recommend using this as I have done, in a rotation with other light weight videos.

I love Jillian and wish, she'd be my personal trainer!
Her '30 Day Shred' workout is fun and quick. It has 3 levels, 1 being the easiest yet still tough for a beginner. (That being said, I'm intermediate/advanced and some exercises on level 1 still 'kill' me with my 5 & 8 lbs weights!)
Each level is 20 mins with a quick warm-up and cool-down. Jillian is encouraging and guides you through 3 circuits each containing cardio, strength and abs.

20 minutes seems to be a bit too short for me personally, I mostly combine at least 2 workouts and do them back to back in order to get a bit longer workout. But if I'm pressed for time, it's wonderful of having the option to only do 1 level on its own and get a nice quick workout in.

I want to start by saying that it is impossible for me to lose weight, but not for lack of trying. i have tried so many workouts, but my schedule does not make room for working out. I didn't start working out the day I got this. Slacker, I know. The workouts are tough, and they seemed to make me sweat a lot more than longer workouts I've tried. Anyway, after working out 2 weeks, I'd actually lost almost 8 lbs. I'll stick with it. This one's a keeper. Anyone can find 20 minutes a day. If I can, you can.

This video is perfect for a quick, no nonsense, total body workout for all fitness levels. The presented exercises allow you to determine the difficulty of your own workout; even those who are incredibly fit can be drippin sweat. It is fun and keeps your interest. I do it every day, alternating the difficulty levels, and felt results in days. Two thumbs up!
