Amazon.com Little Einsteins is an exciting, educational program created by Disney and Baby Einstein that combines animation, real-life photography, and famous music and artwork with instantly likeable characters who have a passion for music and adventure. In this DVD prelude to the Playhouse Disney series (premier October 2005), Leo, June, Quincy, Annie, and Rocket set out to help a little caterpillar find the musical tree of many colors so that it can become a beautiful butterfly. The journey proves complex, but the ever-cheerful group uses their musical knowledge, careful listening skills, and ingenuity to ensure success. Beethoven's famous Ninth Symphony is featured extensively throughout the 61-minute program and viewers ages 3 to 7 are encouraged to sing and clap along as they learn about rhythm, melody, musical terms and careful listening skills. Viewers also delve, quite literally, into the artwork of masters that include Van Gogh and Monet, visit American cities and wildernesses, and get a first-hand look at the amazing butterfly migration down the East Coast of the United States to Mexico. DVD Bonus features include a "Navajo Maze Game" that tests listening skills; "DisneyPedia," a more in-depth look at Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, the cities visited in the program, and the annual butterfly migration; and "Backstage Disney: Meet the Team" with more information about the show's main characters. --Tami Horiuchi

Every parents dream! August 2, 2008 Even if you have tried the Baby Einstein series to no avail (our baby just would NOT watch it - even cried when it came on) we bought a little einstein dvd just to try it and let me tell you OMG it is the only way I can get the dishes washed or laundry done! And my 9 month old will actually sit and watch this and tries to sing with the theme song! Its so funny to watch her watch it and her father and I actually sit and watch it too! I totally recommend this to EVERY parent! i just wish they would release an actual season dvd like most tv shows because sometimes 4 episodes per disk gets a little repetitive.
Outstanding June 25, 2008 My oldest was 2, when I bought this. Now she's 3, and I have twin two year olds. And let me tell ya, my 3 year old interacts with all the characters now, and my twins do the same. They love this video for the classical music and for the clapping/dancing. Highly recommend.

I had previously purchased some Little Einstein's DVD's for my children with mush satisfaction. Each has been entertaining, sweet, and innocent as such videos for children should be. Recently, I purchased Little Einstein's Our Big Huge Adventure. Of course it started out wonderfully. The Little Einstein's visited Niagra Falls and a field in Texas of cows and flew around the Statue of Liberty. The music is great, as always, featuring the classics of Beethoven and art work of Van Gogh. I walked away for a moment to begin preparing dinner. And to my great surprise and, they stopped at the United Nations. A little out of place don't you think? For those of you who know what the United Nations is all about (and it is certainly not about world peace, as is suggested), I urge you to either not purchased this or dispose of it. What a disgrace and what a dissapointment. The United Nations is not a good thing! Do your research! As an American who enjoys freedom, find out about these things that we are supposed to just accept and not question. That is not what a free American does. And it is certainly not something that I will allow my children to be spoonfed.
Little Einsteins a Hit November 29, 2007 Excellent toy for children who know the tv show "Little Einsteins." For a child who loves music, it's great.
Not The Best But Not The Worst Kids DVD October 2, 2007 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
My son saw the ads for The Little Einsteins dvd when it first came out and he had to have it. Well I found it terrible and he only watched it a few times. It is a bit educational which is always a good thing but I would not recommend this dvd unless your child is really into Little Einsteins.
