We have not used it on an airplane yet but the carseat fits great!

Though it works as advertised, to put it on, it takes 7 minutes, uses both hands and puts your body in awkward position. This lack of ease makes you re-think each and every time about whether you want to put the wheels on.
Plus, it's a product that provokes aiport bickering with your spouse.
"We should put the wheels on."
"No, not yet, because we'll need to take them off again when we get to the taxi."
"Yes, I know, but we're walking miles before we get there."
"They are such a pain to put on. I'd rather not put them on. I'll just carry it."
Result: we now had another thing to carry -- those durn wheels.
Note: our car seat, (and probably yours, too) is too wide to be wheeled through the aisles of airplanes. You generally will have to lift it up over your head, using both hands. If you have these wheels attached at that time, you'll be dealing with the heavy carseat plus a handle that pops out unexpectedly.
I'd return this expensive product in a heartbeat, but it's been too long.

This was good for moving the baby through the airport (we had our hands free and he loved it!). But it is difficult to put on and take off the wheels quickly enough to make it convenient. It worked better when we just checked the whole thing and held the baby on our lap on the plane than when we used the carseat on the plane and had to attach and detach it repeatedly, which took loads of time and was difficult in the cold rental car parking lot. If you use it a lot, you might get a lot better and quicker at attaching it.

This is the best thing since sliced bread. I don't have a car but still need a car seat for the occasional cab or airplane ride. It's a bit challenging to install as my car seat was not listed in the compatability chart. I was still able to attach it and I'm very happy with it. The best thing for parents on the go. Now I can easily take my child shopping without having to wrestle her out of the car seat.

This replaced a sit & stroll that I had and was unimpressed with. This was exactly what I needed for travel with my 18 mo. old! It received many oohs and ahhs from others in the airport. She loved strolling in her car seat. Assembly was simple with my Britax car seat, construction was sturdy and we had no trouble going through security in our local airport or in Orlando's airport (in both airports they scanned it like a wheelchair so we did not have to disassemble it). I checked it at the gate, so I didn't have to try to carry it down the airplane aisle or fit it into an airline seat.
