The BOB Sport Utility stroller is a blessing for active parents. Ultimately a jogging stroller, it is more akin to a mountain bike than a road bike, and the key to its performance is in the suspension and tires. The advanced three-inch suspension utilizes shock absorbers (coil springs with an elastomer core) to provide a gentle ride and has two positions to accommodate bigger and smaller children. The fixed front wheel and 16-inch knobbies make it perfect for both on- and off-road use--minor edges, bumps, rocks, and terrain go unnoticed. The adjustable tracking knob makes steering a breeze and keeps the stroller centered. Weighing a mere 24 pounds, the frame is made of aircraft-grade aluminum alloy that is lightweight and durable. The padded, stain-resistant seat is soft and cushy, reclines up to 70 degrees from vertical, and has the standard five-point harness to provide maximum stability and comfort. The full sun canopy provides ample shade and protection from the elements for your little passenger, and a front wheel fender shields spray and protects their toes. The canopy window allows you to keep an eye on baby as well. The wheel rims are constructed of high-impact composite polymer, and the hubs feature a quick release axle as well as cartridge bearings. The caliper handbrake slows the stroller with ease, while the foot-activated "parking brake" is simple and handy. Storage is not a problem with twin interior seat pockets, a large below-seat storage basket, and a deep seatback pocket. The two-step fold can be done in one motion, and the lightweight frame makes it portable and stowable. Removing the wheels decreases the height and length when storing in tight spaces. The handlebar height is 41 inches, and the wheel base is 29 inches. The stroller is able to go anywhere, and the sleek styling and smooth ride give it a luxury feel. But, it's the performance that will win people over. BOB recommends that children be at least eight weeks old before riding in the stroller and at least eight months old before jogging or off-road use. The Sport Utility stroller has a weight capacity of 70 pounds. --Scott Teal

Prefer the revolution - easier to steer June 25, 2008 the sport utility version is difficult to turn and requires you to use your forearms, both when jogging and walking. the revolution has much better turning capacity. Overall, BOB joggers are the best on the market. we ended up giving up our regular stroller and exclusively use the bob, both indoor and outdoor.
Makes outdoors so much easier! April 28, 2008 We love, love, love this stroller! We take our son and our dog walking all of the time. This has made it pleasurable. Virtually no effort is required to push it and it handles all sorts of terrain wonderfully. I originally ordered it for hiking and the beach and it was strongly suggested that the front wheel not swivel, but I bet that would have been one fantastic asset!
great stroller December 13, 2007 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I have had this stroller for almost 2 years now and I use it almost daily. It's so sturdy and comfortable for my son and easy to pack if you want to take it somewhere. It is easy to push on just about any surface, including sand (where most strollers won't go). The only places we avoid using it are in crowded places (it's a little long and you need a little space to turn it) - we use a regular stroller for places like the mall. If you want to get rid of the baby weight and you enjoy the outdoors - this is a purchase that is worth every penny!
Great stroller! August 27, 2007 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is a great product. My only complaint is that upon arrival the brakes were not adjusted properly and it was difficult to fix them.
Runners with babies need this stroller July 28, 2007 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I have had the SUS for almost 2 weeks now and already have 8 uses out of this stroller. The shock absorption makes me feel good about running with my 6 week old. At this point the car seat adapter is a necessity, however it was a smooth and easy installation. If you want to continue your active lifestyle with an infant, the BOB is the way to go. I have done 5-9 miles with my baby calmly looking around and even fast asleep. The downside is that you are still pushing around 30+ pounds and hills are a bear, but if you view it as resistance training, it becomes tolerable. The bottom line is that the BOB SUS is worth every penny and then some.
