 needs some minor tweeking July 1, 2008
Bell Cocoon Rack Mounted Bicycle Child Carrier
we purchased this child seat for my bicycle so I could take my daughter out and ride. we had a slight difficulty as the seat did not fit the bike. My husband managed to do some adjustments with parts we had around the garage. It now fits. A friend who also bought the same seat had the same problem and ended up bending the support for the seat to make it work. The harness system is not designed well and my 22 month old daughter can wiggle out of it no matter how tight I make it. just poor design. Again I managed to use a harness system from an old stroller and we use the seat now. Overall we love Bells products and hope to continue to buy them.

This child Carrie is easy to put on your bike all ways make as many a just men with it when you have you kid on the Carrier but I use all time now when I go bike riding with my kid every day.

My grandson is not quiet one but he holds on and laughs the entire time he is riding behind his mother. He makes all sorts of "baby" sounds as he bounces along. Great bike seat for little ones.
Great Service, Great Product, Completely Satified May 24, 2008
I'd like to thank Amazon for the great service. Originally The product was promised to be delivered in 6-8 weeks time.
I then recieved an email telling me that it shipped about 4 weeks earlier than expected! When I recieved the product it was in exellent condition
and with the easy-to-use instructions, I had it mounted on my bike in about 1/2 an hour.My son is enjoying riding around and seeing everything
from the Bell carrier. Thanks Amazon!
 Good and robust products May 22, 2008

Con: worst manual and package.
I purchased this Bell Cocoon from Walmart. It actually took me a while to figure out the manual, then 2.5 hr to install everything. My plan is to install it on my wife's 24" mountain bike, however, it does not fix, so I installed it on my 26" mountain bike instead (I purchased a Copilot for that 24" bike.)
Overall, I do like Bell's design, it is robust since it provide several points to secured to the bike, and once it is secured, it just don't move. For my other Copilot seat, there are only 4 points to secured with bike, plus one belt to fasten to seat pole. It seems not a good design to me. However, Copilot does provide me an advantage that I can remove car seat easily which Bell does not.
I suggest Bell can write its manual more friendly. Or, at least, assembly the rack in factory, then customers just secure it to bike. That is why I just give it 4start, not 5.
