After losing my Samsung Gravity (which I didn't like anyway), I was debating between the G1 and the Behold. The BIG decision maker for me was the fact that I could text t9 instead of using the full keyboard. I realized when I had the gravity that I wasn't a fan and never slid the keyboard out. I just got the phone yesterday, but so far I absolutely love it!!! I knew I wanted a touch screen phone (after getting an ipod touch for christmas I fell in love with touch screens). The sensitivity of the screen is exactly like my touch. An issue that a lot of people have mentioned is the phone book slider; I have not had any problems with it at all and have played with it a lot.
The one thing I do not like, which has nothing to do with the phone (well maybe, because it doesn't have wifi), is how expensive it is to add internet. I already had unlimited texts, so I wasn't required to add anything else and didn't. I will just stick with my touch to access the internet when I do not have my laptop with me.
Overall, I think this is a great phone and am happy with choosing it over the G1. I have been playing with it non stop, making calls and also using the mp3 player, and the battery is still going strong! For people with battery problems, I suggest using it straight out of the box and charge it once it's close to dying. I have done that will every phone except one and have always had great battery life with my phones (except the one I didn't do that with!). It may not be what the companies suggest, but it has worked great for me every time!

I have been on the T-Mobile network since the summer of 2005 (started with T-Mobile's pay-as-you-go phones for 2 1/2 years, then switched to a 2 yr contract in 2007). I have no complaints about service or coverage (well, I don't pay the bills or anything but...) so I think it's a pretty good company. My first contract phone was the Samsung t629, a slider phone. Before that, I had the Samsung Stripe and a Nokia bar phone. I've had a good experience with Samsung cell phones. That's what led to my decision to buy the Behold. I've wanted a touch screen for a long time, and it was a cheaper option than the G1 and mytouch phones (plus I don't use the web on my phone, so I didn't need that feature). The T-Mobile Tap recently came out, but I opted for the Behold because I preferred its sleeker design, plus it's a Samsung so I understand the menus, etc. I also preferred the Behold over the Samsung Highlight because the Highlight is too thick for me.
I've had my Behold for nearly a week now, and I love it! Obviously, it could have a few more features in the widget bar (such as weather, like my mom's Highlight and my sister's Tap have) but other than that, I have had no major problems and a few minor ones. Even though the touchscreen is hard to type on at first, if you use your nails it works a lot better. I like t9 so that's what I use and it's great! I love that you can easily add music from your computer and the camera's great, too. I don't think it's slow at all, not any slower than my 8 MP Kodak. Takes great quality photos for a phone (another reason I chose it). For me, the minor flaws don't outweigh the great features, so I hope I can enjoy this phone for a long time!

I am a huge fan of touch electronics. I wanted a touch phone and I decided to go with this one. I had a sidekick 2009 and I hated it with a passion. The phone would drop calls and lose service like everyday. The Samsung Behold is a cute little phone with great features. The phone as we all know is touch screen, This is a great feature and overall works perfectly. It takes a little getting use to when you use the touch screen to send texts but it doesnt take all but maybe 15 minutes. The screen has a arrow that you press which brings out a bar to the left had side which displays widgets. Now these widgets are very cool cause you can drag as many as you want out of the widget bar onto the main screen. This allows you to personilize your phone as you see fit. This is a very cool feature to me.
There are other great things as well. The camera on here is a 5 megapixel camera and takes some pretty good pics for a phone. Also the phone runs on a 3G network which allows for faster texts and picture mails and internet. The internet on this phone is not all that great. It is ok but I felt could have been better. On the front of the phone are two dots to the top left hand corner. These are there so that when you hold the phone to your face while on a call it can tell so that it turns off the display light so it wont kill the battery, This is pretty neat cause when you take the phone off your face to look at the screen the light comes back on.
The front of the phone is very simple. You have physical keys on the bottom which are the answer, end call and in the middle of those two the back button. Now when you unlock the screen there are four buttons on the screen. Here we have the dial pad, the phone book, the web and the menu button. They are small and dont look weird on the screen.
The call value is great. The volume goes up to 7 but is very loud. I hear my friends clear and they hear me clear as well. I had one drop call but I think thats because of TMobile not because of the phone.
People have complained about the battery life. I have no issues with that. At the end of the day (midnight) I still have 2 bars left. Now if you the type to sit there and mess with the phone and press it all day then yeah the battery will dies fast.
Overall I have to say that I love this phone. This phone is my first touch screen and I love it. I had to get the pink cause TMobile didnt have it in espresso but I find that that pink is nicer looking. This is a great phone for anyone that wants their first touch screen phone.

I bought the phone about a week ago....I actually went to purchse the G1 but while waiting for a sales person to come help me I noticed the Behold.....started messing around with it and liked it instantly......especially love the 5.0 megapixel camera on it. I liked the looks of this phone better than the G1 because it isnt as bulky.....BIG PLUS FOR ME.....The only thing that I DO NOT really like is the fact that when you are trying to look for a number in the phonebook...it doesnt scroll down very easily....it goes back the letter you need......but all in all I am very pleased with my purchase.
