Great Tent For The Money July 1, 2008 Just got back from the beach with this tent that I purchased specifically for the trip. Our 7 month old baby was very happy in it. She was even able to nap quite peacfully while in it. I was happy with it's sun protection as it shaded her quite well.
The only negative is that it's very lightweight. We had to put the heavy beach bag in it whenever the child was not in it to keep if from blowing away. Not a big deal - I'm not sure any tent would stay put unless it was staked down.
I recomend this tent especially for the low cost!
Good for the beach. June 23, 2008 We used this tent in the Bahamas at the beach. It was good, and quick to set up when not windy. Our son played in it for about 30 minutes and it kept the sun off of him. It can be a little tipsy when he would stand up, but that's expected. Overall, I would recommend it.
Worth the $$ June 18, 2008 We purchased this beach canopy for a weekend getaway to Sanibel for our 3 month old son. It was great to have a place to lay him when he needed a nap on the beach and we didn't have to worry about him getting covered in sand or being eaten by mosquitoes. Once he can sit on his own it should be more fun...I love the zippered front so he can't escape once you get him in there(until he learns how to work a zipper!)Only drawbacks are that the roof of the tent is light yellow, so if your child is laying on his back he's being blinded by the sunlight that shines through. Also, the canopy does not have any sort of anchor to keep it from blowing away. It's usually very breeze on a Florida beach, and we had to keep the cooler or something heavy inside the tent to keep it from blowing away when or son wasn't inside. It's also magenta and yellow...not exactly neutral colors so it was kinda girly for our little boy. Over all, it did what we wanted it to do, and it was very simple to set up and take down. It was worth the money.
pretty good, except in the wind June 1, 2008 I just got back from the beach where I attempted to use this baby tent. The first two days, which were pretty calm, I thought it was great. The remainder of the week I found that it was too windy to use. It never blew away (probably because I had a heavy beach towel on the bottom) but it would kind of get blown around violently. I don't think that another similar product would have been better but I just had unrealistic hopes for what kind of conditions it could be used in.
Nice for the price. May 5, 2008 I purchased this tent to take to the beach this summer for my 15 month old son to nap in. Although, we have not gone to the beach yet, I have set the tent up for him to play in and get familiar with so he won't be afraid of it at the beach. He was skiddish of it at first and I had to sit in it with him. He is used to it now and plays in it on our back porch almost every day! It seems as though it will be good shade on the beach and it was worth the money just for him to play in it at our house.
