"Listen" June 10, 2009 I bought this item with high hopes. When I got it it had a yellow sticker that said "read first" it when on and on about how a HUGE majority of the people who bought this were having problems. I had MANY problems but I am not going to bug you so I'll just tell you the "Pros" and "Cons"
PROS - NONE.
CONS - the camera is a small , plastic , and break-able.
the tri pod is small , plastic and break-able as well.
the green screen tape actually ripped the paint of my wall. The green screens get very wrinkly VERY easily.
Please don't buy this.
You'll get more enjoyment from a cone of vanilla ice cream
There is a 53% chance you will actually break it within the first hour. There is a 22% chance that the disk won't even be recognized. There is a 15% chance that the tapes won't rip the paint of your wall. There is only a 10% chance you will actually get the program up and running and have a good time with it.
So that means you have a better chance of falling down Niagra Falls and living then get the program up and running picture perfect the way you want it.
Trust me I did the math.

Pretty good toy February 26, 2009 C. Drake (North Carolina) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Ignoring the bad reviews I decided to get this for my son as a present. Most of the bad reviews were pertaining to installation problems, so I decided to open it up and install it on my pc before giving it to him. It was almost too easy to install the software. I had to explore the disk to find the installation file, but when I did find it the installation & update went really smooth. I had no problems installing it on my son's pc either. We both use Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2.
My son really loves this camera, but he does not get to play with it much yet. We are going to rearrange the living room so he can have a better place to put the green screen and make more movies. The only problem I have is that the camera needs to be connected to a pc/laptop to record and I'm not moving his computer to his room.
Other than the restricted location, I think the creation station was a great buy. I would definitely recommend it to others.
Great toy for the price! December 28, 2008 JCT (Eastern WA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
My son loves this toy. While the camera and tripod are plastic and toy-like, the green screen material is high quality and large. For the $20 price I got it for it was well worth it - especially for how excited he was to get it. I read the reviews about the difficulty with the software, but my 11 year old was able to get everything working without problems. He was making movies with his friends the day after Christmas. I would highly recommend it for less than $30 - it's a great start to making movies.
Not a great way to spend your money December 7, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
When I first saw this about a year ago it was the thing that I really wanted for christmas. When I got it, I opened it immedietly. My first problem was that the tripod is pretty must as useful as a broken twig. I mean that it is flimsy. I ended up almost completly covering it in tape to make it stand up. And when I finally got the camera to stay on, I realized it was only a foot off the ground. So I decided to carry the camera instead.
Then came the software. First of all, the CD is only a link to a file on their website. And when you finally get it to install, the chroma key tool is useless. Your screen has to be the color that they want it to be and you can't have slight differences in color. A.K.A. you need a studio, which is exactly what they advertise against needing. And it is only a two track editing program, but windows movie make is still better. After getting fed up with the software, I bought Sony Vegas. That was one of the best replacements I have ever made. Buy that instead.
The green screen is the only good part of this purchase; but that no reason for you to buy this. The screen is larger than I expected. It got me interested in chroma key video, and now I still use this screen for Vegas. But there are other good screens out there.
I gave this 2 stars instead of one because it got me interested in filming, and now I have made many home films.
Lots of fun! August 26, 2008 Grace Larsen (Council Bluffs, IA USA) I bought this for my grandson and he really loves it. Someone complicated, but still fun.
