Great wipers! July 8, 2008 You'll never go back to conventional wipers after these. Smooth, no chattering, wipes clean without streaking, and very easy to install. Note: no snow where I live, so I don't know how they perform in cold climates
Bosch 422A ICON Wiper Blade - 22" June 17, 2008 I've had nothing but trouble with all my previous windshield wiper blades and so I thought I would take the plunge and spend the money for the "susposedly" best blades on the maket. Much to my surprise (because most claims these days are false), these blades are "GRATE!" For example I got caught in a really bad rain storm driving back from Michigan a week or so ago and I could actually see out the windows :-) Then too, in my everyday driving experincing rain they have not left the "usual" streak on the windshild. My advise to anyone wanting new blades -- buy these.
They work great April 6, 2008 I have no complaints about these blades. I have them installed on a pickup truck. I had not found a blade that would not leave streaks when it rained. I even had beenn using Rainx in harmony with the other blades. These work the best, now it is a matter of how long they will keep up this great performance. I have had them install for a couple on months now.
High price for high quality March 18, 2008 I've never been one to put much money into my car, but when I bought my used '04 Chrysler Sebring (not convertible), I needed a new set of wipers. I've always dealt with Rain-X and other wipers in the past, but loved the look of these blades, and they came highly recommended. I bought them in September and have had the same pair on throughout our treacherous Ohio winter. There were certainly a few days where I turned on my wipers in the morning, thinking all of the ice was cleared off and heard the cringing sound of rubber scraping on ice. My car doesn't sit in the garage, so ice on my windshield was bound to happen. Although, every once in a while, the blades would streak because of the drastic temperatures, they have held up very well! I will be replacing them again in April, as I do love the silent sound of new wipers, that has finally disappeared. If you are looking for sleak-looking, lasting blades-- even through snow and ice... go with the Bosch Icons!
Wish I would have kept my old wipers... February 3, 2008 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
It's obvious that these blades are very high quality, and work very well initially, but...
If your windshield is not in perfect shape, don't expect the blades to perform well for very long. They get chewed up pretty quickly by any windshield imperfections - it seems they went bad far sooner than my el-cheapo blades used to.
These Bosch blades seem to be made with very soft rubber. You can actually hear them gripping the window - which explains why imperfections will rip them apart quickly. On a new car (with a perfect windshield), I'm sure these blades would be great.
I'm going back to the el-cheapo blades in the plain old metal frame. They are much cheaper to replace and they actually might last longer since they aren't as soft.
