Amazon.com Product Description Protect important paper documents and photos from thieves, heat and flames with this electronic, digital locking steel box. The box holds 8-1/2 by 11-inch papers and photos stored flat, protecting them against fire and temperatures reaching 1,550 degrees F for up to 30 minutes. The safe is also equipped with waterproof seal that keeps documents dry if emergency sprinklers are triggered. With 330 cubic inches of storage space, there's plenty of room for all those important documents and photos, with no folding necessary. A one-push latch and lock system means easy access and quick storage. --Brian D. Olson

Fire Safety Box July 17, 2008 Just ordered this and find it just perfect for our needs - not too big or heavy so I can grab it and go if I needed to. One comment though - could not open the lid when I received it - after many frustrating tries, had to call manufacturer who told me this happens a lot! Just take a butter knife and pry it open the very first time then it is fine and won't happen again. My response: why not put a note on the box to that effect!!!!
Good box June 18, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The firesafe box is doing what it needs to do, short of lighting it on fire to test it, it keeps my important documents safe. If nothing else I have peace of mind.
Great for the simple small stuff May 29, 2008 I got this to put simple documents in so they would be safe, it is just what I needed.

I bought this for my son He said it was pretty good -legal size papers could fit in well but folders were a bit tight and could not lay down flat so he was a little disappointed. But mostly -ok.
