My Lap Is In Love July 20, 2008 Maybe I'm naive, because my previous laptop "stand" was a tush cush. But I am loving this laptop stand. It's got a fairly firm surface, and I thought I might have some "dig in" issues. It's as if the weight of my laptop is redistributed, and there's plenty of distance between its bottom and my thighs so the heat disperses before it gets to me. It's very comfortable and I'm very pleased. I especially like that it's something I don't have to plug in. Who needs another cord laying about? Plus I don't have to pay for electricity for it, which makes it economical. I recommend this item.
Keeps your lap cool, not so much the laptop. July 15, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It is a decent product, but the claim that it's foam allows the laptop to breath is a bit of a stretch. While my computer sits on it the CPU temperature goes up, if I hang the corner where the fan is over the edge it drops by 10% in a minute or two. Had they made it with holes through the foam I think it would have been 4 or 5 stars.
Kona Barb July 9, 2008 I live in Hawaii and my 17-inch laptop feels miserably hot on my lap.
I recently purchased this product in green; it holds my laptop very securely, the height is comfortable, the fan works perfectly and best of all, my lap stays cool. I am very pleased with this notebook stand and highly recommend it.
Does what it advertises to be June 29, 2008 Puts the computer at the right angle and keeps your lap cool. Also prevents the notebook from slipping. Very happy with this low tech solution
Liked this so well, we have bought for grad. gifts June 21, 2008 We purchased 2 of these; one for myself and one for my husband. We often use our seperate laptops on the weekend and found it to be very functional, lightweight, and yet solid. Makes using laptop sitting on the sofa or even in bed so much better - no more juggling on your knees and allows air to circulate while keeping your lap cool. We liked ours so well we bought some for graduation gifts.
