Product Description
The CGE computerized series is Celestron's most advanced line of observatory-class Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes. Offered in 9.25", 11", and 14" apertures, they all come mounted on the state-of-the-art CGE GoTo German equatorial mount. The German equatorial mount has long been the mount of choice for astrophotographers, offering easy balancing of extra loads such as a camera and visual accessories, clearance at the rear of the telescope tube to mount a camera of off-axis guider, and access to the entire sky. The mount is a pillar of strength, its CNC-machined metal components and carbon steel adjustable legs able to support a load as heavy as 65 lbs. The CGE telescopes we carry include enhanced StarBright XLT optical coatings, flash-upgradeable hand controller with a 40,000+ object database, and NexRemote remote control software.
