Ovation has been known for making custom double neck guitars in the past. This marks the first time a production model will be available to players seeking the versatility and convenience of a multi-neck guitar. The newly designed acoustic/electric features a twelve string neck on top and six string on the bottom with a toggle switch that allows players to select six string-on, twelve string-on, or both-on at the same time through a modified OP24+ preamp. To balance it out, Ovation has developed a new super shallow size roundback body that is specifically designed for this instrument and makes it surprisingly comfortable to play. The necks are full-scale 25" length. The OP-24+ features three EQ bands with the ability to shift the mid band to either a 400Hz or 1KHz center frequency. It also features a Pre-Shape circuit that lifts the base and treble and reduces the "rumble" frequencies below 40Hz.
