Editorial Reviews:

Album Description
Angie Stone (born Angela Laverne Brown in 1961 in Columbia, South Carolina) is an R&B, hip hop, and neo soul musician whose music possesses a clear old school soul music influence, and her vocals recall those of Aretha Franklin. Here she sings 18 of her greatest hits including 2 bonus tracks that do not appear on the US version 'Lovers Ghetto' and 'Wish I Didn't Miss You' (Pound Boys Remix). Sony. 2005.

5 out of 5 stars STONE HITS!!   March 21, 2006
2 out of 2 found this review helpful

I never really heard of Angie Stone before, but the other day I was watching VH1 soul, and saw I Wanna Thank Ya video and I loved it. Then I decided to buy her greatest hits album and now I love it! I am now a huge fan of Angie Stone and I plan to buy all her previous album.
My Favorites Are:
Wish I Didn't Miss You
Brotha
No More Rain (In This Cloud)
I Wasn't Kidding
I Wanna Thank Ya
Everyday
U-Haul

People should stop giving her bad reviews just because it's Copy-Protected. I had no problem getting it on my iPod.

4 out of 5 stars Enchanting and soulful   January 6, 2006
I bought this album as an introduction to Angie Stone's music. The only familiar track was the first (I Wish I Didn't Miss You) with its luscious bass line. So the rest was a new territory, one that I became increasingly delighted to discover. Stone's style indeed belongs to another era, but what a glorious era it was. How rare it is today to find a soul/r&b singer that doesn't overdo her part or compromise her sound just to be trendy. The little rapping heard on this compilation only adds flavor to a well seasoned meal.
I only wish some songs were twice as long (they don't make 12" versions today). Little Boy is a true gem.

2 out of 5 stars very average&way too soon   November 11, 2005

Angie stone is like a Songstress version of alicia Keys to me. most of Her biggest Hits sound like songs from 25-30 years ago.vocally she has some nice runs, but She is only good for a few cuts here&there. She doesn't hold my ear for a whole album though.this is way too soon&a sign that while she is a decent Songwriter that the solo Artist run just might be over.

1 out of 5 stars Another copy protection nightmare!!   November 8, 2005

Whatever happened to an artist releasing an extensive catalogue of albums before releasing a "very best" set? Stone has only THREE albums, and she hasn't been around the block long enough to come up with a greatest hits album. But what really pissed me off is that this copy-protected CD comes with a VERY malicious form of spyware call ROOTKIT which cannot be removed and makes your PC a slave to Sony. Do you want Sony spying on you to find out what you're listening to, when, and how often? Then do not, repeat-DO NOT, buy this infected CD. You'll be sorry.

5 out of 5 stars Greatest Hits from a Great artist   November 2, 2005
To the reviewer above Angie Stone doesn't only
have two greatest hits songs an album. But has three Greatest Hits Cds. Get this and add to great all day listen cd.

Angie keep oup the good work.
