| Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.com For a man who gets his biggest kicks surfing the waves and strumming his guitar on a lonely beach in native Hawaii, singer-songwriter Jack Johnson has carved out quite a remarkable career on the mainland. His 2003 album, On and On, debuted at No. 3 on The Billboard 200 and subsequently went platinum on the back of hit single "The Horizon Has Been Defeated." The follow-up, meanwhile, seems destined to shine even brighter. The drifting chords and soft voice are still in place, only now Johnson's instinct for melody has sharpened alongside his ability to self-edit. These small concessions make third album, In Between Dreams, his most conspicuous, particularly on tracks like the three-minute relationship drama, "Sitting, Waiting, Wishing," and "Breakdown," a song he originally recorded for Handsome Boy Modeling School's White People album remade here to reveal its full stripped-down loveliness. Imagine all the coconuts it will buy. -- Aidin Vaziri
Album Description UK special edition of Jack Johnson's 2005 album adds one live bonus track 'Mudfootball' (featuring Donavon Frankenreiter & G Love). Universal.

I love Jack Johnson and this CD was no different than the rest of his, PERFECT! I can listen to Jack Johnson no matter what mood I am in and his songs fit in just right. What an amazing artist. This CD is my favorite of his.
every cut is a hit July 16, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
It's unusual to find an album with every song a hit. I like Jack Johnson's soft voice and his words tell a story that strikes a chord. Of all his albums this one is the one I play over and over. It is on its way to becoming a real Classic. Hawaii The Big Island Trailblazer: Where to hike, snorkel, surf, bike, drive Sleep Through The Static Brushfire Fairytales

I'm forced to listen to this at work and actually feel physical pain. It's often described as mellow (maybe in a drug-induced comma), but all I can think of is banal, trite, insipid, an American Idol early reject maybe. Anthems for beer-belching yahoos? Most of the surfers I know listen to punk. Anyway, expand your consciousness if possible and pick up Richard Thompson, Edwynn Collins and Nick Drake for starters, money better spent.
great again! June 21, 2008 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
Been a Jack Johnson fan for a few years now, his stuff is great. Makes you want to kick back on the beach with a chair, an umbrella, and possibly an adult beverage and let the worries of the world slip away!
The Best Jack Johnson Record June 18, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I own all of Jack's cd's and I have to say this one is my favorite out of all of them including "Sleep Through The Static". I don't know what it is but I keep coming back to this record. I can't get these collection of songs out of my head. What do you think? I know there are some others that feel the same.
