Product Description This award winning Bodum Bora Bora Double Wall Tea Press is both elegant and functional! The sphere-shaped glass body complements the stainless-steel infuser and lid very nicely. The insulated double wall construction keeps your tea warmer for a longer period of time. Since the outer layer is cool to the touch, no trivet is needed. This teapot is handmade of heat-resistant borosilicate glass and includes a patented press system that stops the brewing with a simple press of the ball so your tea would not over-steep. A must have for the tea connoisseurs! It is dishwasher-safe and nicely packaged in a box with instructions printed on the box. Great for everyday use!

Great Tea Pot! .............................................................................................Just don't break it! September 25, 2008 I loved this press for months. Then the actual "press" piece met an untimely death in the garbage disposal. Of course this is the one piece they don't sell a replacement for. Now I have to pull the basket out, which works, but is messy. I can't justify buying another one just yet. If you like your tea, this is the one to have,
just don't break it.
Best teapot ever! April 5, 2008 This teapot, although a bit pricey, is all that a teapot should be. It really does keep the tea hot for at least an hour. I never have bitter tea, thanks to the tea press. One measurement of tea leaves can make up to three full pots of tea. The glass is very strong, and causes no worries about breakage. It is a delight to behold, too.
Perfect Pot February 29, 2008 This pot keeps your tea hot for over an hour, you don't need a trivet, and you get to enjoy the color of your tea! Very visually striking--your tea floats in air!
Cannot be kept warm on stove-NO to Bora Bora January 25, 2008 1 out of 6 found this review helpful
Not only will Bodum not issue a credit for this item (large Bora Bora press), they did not tell me that it would not rest on "Warm" on the stove. They will not respond to voice mail messages or email. Just know that: * Bodum does not give full disclosure on products, even though I pursued finding that information and inquiring prior to purchase, * Does not respond to customer service inquiries, and * Does not issue credits (I have had to pursue VISA card dispute).
This sure takes the satisfaction out of gift giving. Never again will I purchase Bodum, be very careful if you do.
teapot has plastic parts that can be removed October 25, 2007 0 out of 5 found this review helpful
I was initially disappointed in this product because it has plastic parts. The Amazon description did not mention this. I don't like cooking with plastic so I removed the plastic ring wrapped around the infuser and also the plastic press by banging it with a hammer until it broke apart. I now use the tea press to stir the tea within the infuser so it can disperse quicker.
Pieces of tea escape into the teapot. The metal diffuser became stained after I left tea in the teapot overnight. Now the teapot only looks attractive when it is full of tea, otherwise I keep it in a cabinet. It's difficult to clean the spout which stains over time. I cut a sponge for that purpose.
On the positive side the teapot keeps the tea hot for about an hour and then it is lukewarm for several hours afterward. It is helpful to be able to see the color of tea through the glass. Also, I am able to use the infuser to make large batches of tea. I boil water in a six-quart stockpot, place two kabob skewers on top of the stockpot, and then balance the metal infuser on the skewers. The infuser sits in the water up to several inches and I can place a large amount of tea in the infuser. I use that contraption for making ice tea. Overall, I'm glad I bought this multi-faceted tea press.
