| Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.com Review A cold room warms up quickly with this ceramic heater. With its rounded back and fine-screen front panels, the heater looks more like a classy stereo speaker than a heating device. Cleverly designed, the two stacked cubes turn independently to project heat into different parts of the room. And, using the handy remote control, temperature settings can be adjusted without getting out of a chair or bed. Measuring 12-1/2 by 7 by 6 inches, the compact heater takes up very little floor space and can even sit on a table. The SmartTouch one- button control toggles through five temperature settings (60, 65, 70, 75, and 80 degrees F) with a choice of either low or high output for each. While this heater projects powerfully, it operates 40 percent more quietly than other ceramic heaters. For safety reasons the heater will shut off if it starts to overheat. The remote control requires two AAA batteries (not included). Designed in Canada, the Bionaire heater comes with a two-year warranty against defects. --Ann Bieri

heater May 7, 2007 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I thought this heater had a timer, but was mistaken, so am a little disappointed. It does heat up really quickly and blow out a fair bit of air, but makes a few funny clicking sounds as it cools down (i think its some part of the heater contracting).

Not good December 31, 2005 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
My unit had shut itself off for no reason several times. This is a huge problem, since I woke up in a freezing room. Other problems: loud popping noises when it stops heating, no rotation limits the coverage, remote isbadly designed. I am returning it.
excellent for small space December 30, 2005 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Just fine for the limited space I have, works wonderfully in this drafty old house to take the chill off quickly. Would recommend totally
Bad News Bears November 30, 2005 18 out of 19 found this review helpful
My girlfriend and myself had carefully reviewed all the indoor heaters featured on this website and came to the conclusion that this product might be the best bang for the buck after reading other reviews. Although, when we recieved the product in the mail and opened the product everthing looked like we had imagined it would. Once we plugged the heater in we noticed that it was only blowing heat out of one head unit (it is suppose to blow heat out of each unit) not two like it says in the manual. I went ahead and plugged it in for awhile hopeing that maybe it takes some time to warm the upper one up but after a half an hour I then understood what a poor product Bioaire had produced. To make things even better the two year warranty that features with this product is as complicated as one can get. You must fill out numerous amounts of infomation on a sheet enclosed with a return shipping money order that should be paid for the trouble of recieving a faulty heater and then they say it may take 3-4 weeks to get a working on back to you. I instead will just take the 80% refund from amazon becuase for one it is a much easier process and two becuase I really don't care to try another one of these heaters again. I think that if this product did not have a history of mechanical errors then it might be worth buying buy I think I am being very fair in my critic of this heater or at least my experience with it. My advice would be skip this brand and try another one in order to save you from a similar mess!
