 I wish I could buy this filter or its equivalent May 4, 2007
With my back problem, this filter was the perfect alternative to buying gallons of filtered water, putting them in the cart, then on the conveyor belt, into the car and then up the stairs into the house. Since the water cooler is next to my kitchen sink, all I had to do was fill the water jug and there was minimal lifting involved. Plus I saved a lot of money. I wish I could buy this filter or its equivalent. If anyone knows where to find one, let us know!

I think the filter works great. It's a shame Amazon stopped carrying it. It would filter about 60 gallons of water before it needed changing.

I have used this product for the past four years and I am satisfied with it in general. The only downside is that when it's new, the black filter powder sometimes "pollutes" the water.
I searched everywhere online but couldn't find one. Hope Amazon will fill up their stock soon.

Water is the reason that life exists on earth and my spouse said the tap water tastes bad. I dread the thought of paying for bottled water and lugging all those fifty pound bottles around. This little helpful housewife handy will filter out the foul taste at a price per gallon that can't be beat! This filter is easy to use and very easy to change. Highly recommended by me.

The water metering device was not included with any of the 4 filters ordered. I was quite surprised. Otherwise i think the filtering device is fine.
