Product Description Anolon Titanium is revolutionary cookware that brings style, convenience and professional gourmet performance to your kitchen. It's hard-anodized, nonstick cookware with stainless steel handles. Stay cool during normal stovetop cooking Oven safe to 500 Degrees F Dupont's Autograph 2 Nonstick Interior Exclusive multiple reinforced nonstick technology designed to outlast traditional nonstick coatings. Provides enduring nonstick performance, superior durability, and easy cleaning Extra Thick, Heavy Gauge, Hard-Anodized Aluminum Construction Provides fast and even heat distribution for perfect cooking performance Twice as strong as stainless steel - gives supreme durability
Amazon.com Review A rare feature among hard-anodized cookware, Anolon Titanium is actually dishwasher-safe. However, it offers cooks many advantages long before cleanup time. Constructed of extra-thick aluminum, these heavy pots and pans conduct heat quickly and uniformly (no hot spots) and won't warp. Their handsome, charcoal-gray exterior is harder than steel and resists scratching and denting. Inside, they're coated with DuPont's exceptionally durable Autograph nonstick that readily releases food. Stainless-steel handles have an attractive satin-finish. The handles are rounded for comfort, hollow to stay cool on the stovetop, oven-safe to 500 degrees F, and have hanging holes. This classic, slope-sided, 8-inch skillet is perfect for frying an egg or pan-roasting a hunk of halibut. Unlike conventional hard-anodized pots and pans, this cookware is dishwasher-safe because its titanium-composite exterior is nonporous. Nevertheless, its virtue of being dishwasher-safe is not unlimited. To prevent pots and pans from discoloring in a dishwasher over time--and to prevent voiding the lifetime warranty against defects--the manufacturer's cleaning instructions about water temperature (120 to 140 degrees F) and detergent (mild, with a phosphate content less that 7-1/2 percent) must be strictly observed. As with most cookware, hand washing Anolon Titanium is the better alternative for ideal care. --Fred Brack

Excellent in every way October 18, 2008 I've had one of these pans for nearly 4 years, and just came by the product page because I nicked it, and now I want a brand new one. At just $20, it's an incredible bargain! But this pan is much more than just a bargain. In spite of having knicked the nonstick surface, I think that if I hadn't, the pan would last a lifetime. And it is by far my most used piece of cookware.
Another reviewer called this pan "too heavy," which I disagree with because high quality pans have a little bit of heft. This pan's weight is not in any way excessive, though it feels strong and sturdy, which it is. The nonstick surface is of a higher quality than teflon and is a breeze to clean. The pan heats evenly, the handles don't get too hot and the sides are shaped perfectly for easy flipping and stirring.
I noticed many other reviewers here say they wash the pan in the dishwasher because it is marketed as being "dishwasher safe," but I would urge you to wash it by hand anyway. Over time, the nonstick surface will wear down from harsh detergents and besides, it is SO EASY to clean in 20-30 seconds by hand!
I'm getting ready to travel internationally, staying in short term apartments, and I am taking this baby with me!
Easy to clean October 5, 2008 I have a set of anolon Titanium pans and love them because they cook well and are easy to clean.
Solid Skillet, Good Surface, Even Heat, and Goes in the Dishwasher August 26, 2008 A very good addition to the home supply of pans and skillets. There is a nice heft to the pan, it heats evenly (though, like most relatively heavy pans, it takes a while to get up to full temperature), and the cooking surface is non-stick, but without the ultra-slippery "plastic" feel that some non-stick pans have. Add to that the fact that it can go in the dishwasher, and it makes for a very good pan.
So far so good June 26, 2008 I like the fact that I can put this in dishwasher. I've had this for about 6 months. It started to have grease built up on the side (inside and outside) that I can't wash off easily. Don't want to use metal scrub to clean it becasue i don't want to ruin the non stick layer.
good but has its flaws June 4, 2008 pros: 1) Heavy, well built. 2) Excellent non stick coating. 3) Looks like it will last for years. 4) Dishwasher safe (with restrictions). cons: 1) The handle becomes too hot. After few minusts of frying an egg you can touch only the last 5 cm. 2) Not very stable. tend to lean to the direction of the handle (on my gas stove).
