5 out of 5 stars Really impressed   April 18, 2008

I've been trying to get into stainless pans for about a year now but couldn't make a decision. Everyone says All-Clad is the best there is, but I hated the handles and wasn't wild about the pricing (even for irregular stuff). I couldn't justify copper. Local stores didn't carry anything other than A-C, Calphalon, and Henckel, and although I liked the Henckel something about it just didn't seem right. Was it too cheap?

So I found these pans more or less by fluke and decided to try them. Of all my non-stick cookware, the Berndes was my favorite so I figured this had to be an equally good product (@$130 for 2 pans, too). There's basically no information or reviews of this stuff anywhwere so it was a bit of a gamble...

Tried them both last night and I am SUPER happy!
- The handles don't even get warm, and as far as bare steel handles go they're pretty comfy.
- Food sticking was not an issue. You read a lot of complaints about steel pans, and everything sticks to it no matter what and blah blah blah but it was simply not an issue for me (and I've never cooked on stainless). Pay attention to the good advice that's out there.

One more note, the spatula they throw in on this deal is a complete joke. It's not even dollar store quality.
