Product Description The Chef's Choice Premium Electric Food Slicer makes it easy to slice meat, cheese, and vegetables with precision. Made of cast aluminum and stainless steel, the slicer features a powerful, cool running, high torque motor with a special cooling system for continuous slicing. The large capacity food tray will hold extra large roasts or hams and a thickness control lets you adjust the size of the slices from deli-thin up to 1 inch thick. The on/off switch can be set to intermittent or continous operation and a special button secures the food carriage in a locked position for safer storage. Cleaning is easy too, since unit features an ingenious design with removable blade, food carriage, food pusher, food deflector, and thickness guide. The slicer comes with a 1 year limited warranty.

Chef's Choice 610 August 18, 2008 Arrived timely in excellent condition. Works as described. However, it doesn't do a very good job making "deli-thin" slices. Thicker (1/16" and greater) are fine.
Decent for the money August 15, 2008 The picture makes it look better than it is. Keeping it sanitary will be a big concern as it packs the meat into a crack on the bottom. Some of it can be cleaned by removing parts, then there is the those other places. Someone also mentioned that it doesn't cut slices evenly, which is true. You can flip the meat over, or push slower, either helps. Overall, it is decent for the money and I would recommend or buy it again.
Works great, cleans up quickly----well designed and made. August 14, 2008 My title says it all. Well designed, well made, cleans up easy and does what I need it to (slice meat for jerky).
Making pleasant looking food was never easier. July 30, 2008 I have only used my slicer twice since I received it. First, I would like to remind purchasers that the blades (I bought the ham slicer blade) are very sharp. However, used according to instructions keeps fingers on your hand and a smile on your face. I had great success by allowing the meat to sit in the refrigerator long enough to become more solid. After slicing I applied a glaze then baked an additional time. I again used the ham slicer blade for a beef brisket following the same procedure. It provided perfect presentable slices which were placed in sealed bags and frozen. The meat was used later for curry, Stroganoff, and sandwiches. Slicing the meat extended the meat over more servings. I highly recommend this slicer.
It does take a while to clean up but if done immediately after use it is quite a snap. All the parts necessary for cleaning are exposed for a cloth to reach.
Remember: Be careful around the blades they are sharp. After all that's why they work so well.
Great slicer for the money July 28, 2008 This slicer works real well. So far we have used it to slice turkey breasts, ham, roast beef, and homemade bread. It works best if you can have a "block" of meat. With that said, ham, roast beef, and bread work best. Your results will also be better if you let your meat cool or chill ahead of time.
