Great breadmaker May 29, 2008 Love it! Makes great bread everytime. Have had it for 8 months now and use it probably two, three times a week. Easy to clean, looks great on your counter (although I put mine away in the cabinet when I'm not using it). Buy it and begin to dazzle your friends and family with fresh, wholesome bread! GET IT!!!
A gift for our daughter-in-law April 19, 2008 This was bought for our daughter-in-law (our son just enjoys the results). The report we have had back - from our son - is that it made a very good loaf of bread. As we were back in the UK before it was tried, we can't testify.
Poor Customer Service March 29, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased this breadmaker for my sister. There was a problem with it so she called the Breadman company. They told her to cut of the power cord and send it to them and she will receive a new machine. She got a used discontinued model that was dirty and smelled like cigarette smoke. She's been calling the company since January and they have yet to send her a replacement. AVOID THE HEADACHE...DO NOT BUY A BREADMAN!!!
Buyer Beware March 19, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Received this item today and was initially impressed with its look... however, upon further inspection I saw that the top of the machine was clearly scratched and smudged. The entire face of it looked as if it had been rubbed with a solvent of some sort. The top wobbled and the seals are questionable, at best. Overall, this appears to be a poorly made machine, even if it had been received in "new" condition as I had expected to be purchasing it. If this was indeed a new machine, then I must say that the factory appears to be having some production issues as the appearance was not something that was in any way remotely new. As a result, I have sent the machine back to Amazon for a refund and will be searching for another brand of breadmaker.
Customer service is a JOKE February 26, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I got this bread maker for my husband for Christmas. We loved it... for a month. My husband was happily making a new loaf, had just hit the "on" switch, and the machine made a funny noise, complete with sparks and smoke. Obviously, a motor blow out. I called customer service, the rep told me she would put in an order for a new pan insert and paddle. What?!!! I said "this is not a parts problem, this is a motor problem", to which she replied "we have to troubleshoot before we can send you a new machine". Of course, the parts were on backorder and it would be at least 3 weeks for the non-solution. My husband then called (oh what fun to play Customer Service roulette) and his rep told him that he would send out another machine right away. Well, guess what arrived on my doorstep today? The wrong model - an enormous white behemoth that will absolutely be going back to the manufacturer. So far, still no bread machine and no telling when or what we'll end up with.
