Amazon.com Review A perfect gift for new homemakers, the food processor has become an integral part of modern cooking, speeding up a multitude of processes, including kneading dough, slicing, chopping, shredding cheese, vegetables and meat, mincing garlic and parsley, mixing batters, and emulsifying mayonnaise. Cuisinart's Pro Classic comes with a 7-cup work bowl, four basic attachments for slicing, shredding, chopping, mixing, and kneading, and also features two feed tube options, one big enough to handle a whole potato. This processor comes with a compact cover for use when the feed tube isn't needed and a pulse control that allows the desired degree of fineness when chopping and pureeing. Remove the detachable stem for compact storage of discs. All the parts are dishwasher-safe and the motor base wipes clean. In addition, a custom-contoured spatula, a 50-page recipe booklet, and a 30-minute video designed to familiarize the new owner with the care and use of the food processor are included. --Victoria Jenkins

The Best Processor...Trust Cuisinart July 25, 2008 OK...I've had this processor for over 20 years, and it's the best ever. My son is "into" cooking now and was looking at the Kitchen Aid...Ok I'm sure it's fine, but Cuisinart is state of the art. You just can't beat it. And for those who don't like, say it falls apart--what are you doing to it? Perhaps you don't know how to use a food processor. I have some pretty terrific recipes that wouldn't be possible without this wonderful machine...and then there's just slicing potatoes so thin that au gratins come out like a French Bistro. You need to practice--but when you've got it down, there's none better than a Cuisinart.
DO NOT buy this food processor June 29, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is the absolute worst food processor I have ever used. The engineering is terrible--it's the clunkiest thing to put together. You must fight with it to get the chopping pieces together. It's easier to use a hand grinder!
I've has this for 6 months or so and am putting into a tag sale on the free table!
The BEST Value Around! June 29, 2008 With a powerful yet quiet 600 watt induction motor, and a generous list of accessories, the DLC-10S is your best bet in the under $150.00 price range.
We compared this model in a side by side comparison to the 2008 Cuisinart Prep 9, nine cup model and found the 10s to be more powerful, and of a higher build quality for 50 bucks less! Plus, it comes with an additional short top bowl cover which we use most of the time over the conventional "pusher type" cover.
If you are looking for a time tested and solid "classic" design, one that will serve you well for years of heavy use, then you need look no further than the DLC-10s!
5 STARS!
BLADE IS FALLING APART! TINY PIECE IN FOOD!!! June 29, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I HAVE OWNED THIS FOOD PROCESOR AOBUT 1 YEAR. I USE IT ON AN AVERAGE OF ONCE A WEEK. CHOP MEAT AND VEGIES. THE BLADE IS FALLING APART. A TINY PIECE BROKE OFF AND NOW I HAVE TO THROW OUT AN ENTIRE MEAl! VERY DANGEROUS! I AM SWITCHING TO KITCHEN AID.
Kind of overrated June 26, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Don't get me wrong. This is an excellent food processor and worked great. At the same time it is almost always easier and more effective to use one of those hand held food processor. My wife who would use this the most has pretty much stopped using this all together and we'll probably give it away or sell it to free up some shelf space.
