Product Description For those who aren't familiar with the term ebleskiver, they are delightful small and spherical pancakes sometimes filled with fruit or nuts, and adored by Scandinavian folk. You can use a basic pancake recipe, or one provided with the pan, and you can get creative with adding other ingredients, powdering with sugar after baking, and so on. In any case, if you want to make ebleskiver, you must have a traditional ebleskiver pan.
Amazon.com Review Scandinavians love the spherical little pancakes known as ebleskiver. Countless "traditional" recipes for them exist, but any old pancake recipe will do, including prepackaged pancake mix and concoctions beginning with cake mixes. Shape defines ebleskiver, not ingredients, and only an ebleskiver pan delivers. Safe on gas or electric stovetops, this one is made from heavy cast aluminum so it won't warp. And it's nonstick, to make flipping the pancakes easy and cleanup a snap. (For authenticity, turn ebleskiver with a knitting needle.) Its wood handle stays cool and adds a rustic touch. There's a notch on the handle's end for hanging on a hook or peg. --Fred Brack

Easy the first time ! October 15, 2008
The first time I used this pan, my cute little pancake "balls" came out just fine. No sticking, no hassle at all. I used a flat piece of bamboo (which had been the handle of a Chinese utensil at one time) and for more leverage, a popsicle stick. Had no problem at all turning them. Last time I made them (second time I used the pan) I placed chunks of ham in the center of each.....yum!! Cinnamon, sugar, powdered sugar....syrup...you name it. The other day, I made a corn muffin batter and put green chile/cream cheese dollop inside.....you can spice them up however....Very nice! If you're having trouble getting the hang of this user-friendly pan, then you just aren't trying hard enough!! Try it again.....Enjoy!!! ; )
Puffs puffs everywhere October 11, 2008 I love the pan the only problem is the nonstick coating comes off really easily. DO NOT USE nething other than plastic or chopsticks which are my favorite.
Easy to Clean October 8, 2008 This pan has the plastic handle. That is the only difference from the one selling on William Sonoma website for much more. Well made and easy to clean. Whatever you decide, DON't buy the cast iron one, which I just threw out.
Fun!! July 8, 2008 I decided to get this when I seen it on the Rachael Ray show. I am so glad that I did. It does take some practice. So easy to clean too.
Modern Aebelskiver Pan Is Great! July 4, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I used to own a cast iron Aebelskiver pan, and it was constantly rusting up despite trying to care for it properly. This new non-stick pan is a real treat to use and clean up is a breeze. The first time I used it I was very impressed with how the non-stick finish made turning the little puffy "pancakes" so easy, which in turn made making them the sought-after rounded shape so much easier as well. A tiny bit of oil brushed in each well was sufficient to prevent sticking. I used a home-made recipe (found online) and they were a real hit. Clean-up was wicked easy as well. Nothing stuck, so a very easy and quick clean-up was all that was needed. Great little pan, and I recommend it.
