 Neat product, but expensive T-discs. April 29, 2008

Item is a great novelty item and works great. Downside is that the T-Discs required to use them are somewhat hard to find and expensive. When paying so much for the maker it would be nice to be able to get them cheaper.

The Tassimo 1200 and 1400 models are awesome! I have purchased several for gifts and to cover office and home for myself. Imagine...every cup of coffee you'll drink in the future will be fresh and delicious. The variety of pods (which include lattes and the like as well as tea and hot chocolate) is extensive and still growing. It has no flaws. The pods may seem spendy but the flavor compares to the coffee shop down the street where the cost per cup is substantially higher. Buy one today! You'll have no regrets. And, of course, Amazon sports one of the best prices for the machine.

I love this machine. I can't wait to offer a cup to my friends, or for that matter, get up every morning and brew myself a cup. It makes the best latte's and cappucino's right in the comfort of my own home. I had bought another type of single brewer (which starts with an R) more expensive, but the coffee was WEAK. This makes the perfect cup every time. It's futurist looking and goes well with the look in my kitchen with all the rest of my stainless appliances. I recommend it highly. The best part was Amazon's price-HALF of what is sold in stores-and no shipping fees! Now that's a bargain!

This is the best coffee maker I ever owned. I never found one that made a good cup of anything. I heard about this Tassimo for years but I was hesitant about forking out $129 just to be wrong again. This product went on sale at Amazon for $79 and I took the chance. This one is worth the $129 it is asking for now. Not all the coffees are great but most are pretty good especially the cappuccino. The only problem is finding and buying the coffee. stores have limited selection. you can get most online. I also like the Seattle's Best brand.
Great Machine, But I still like my Senseo Better for Crema Style. April 8, 2008
I like coffee alot. So I now have 2 Coffee Machines.
I have owned a Senseo for over a year now (great machine too).
The Tassimo has the advantage when it comes to brewing lattes and capuccino. I never liked the Senseo capuccino.
My Kids love the Hot Chocolate. The Teas are very good as well.
I like being able to buy the Starbucks coffee and they come out really good. The Machine is really easy to use.
For Crema Style Coffee I prefer the Senseo to this Machine. I use the 2 Pod Holder with the Bold Pods and that Brews to my Ideal Strength. My Wife uses the Single Pod Holder with the Mug Brew button which seems to be what most people consider "Normal" strength. I've tried the Gevalia Crema Style Coffee for this machine which is not bad, I just prefer the Senseo's.
The Machine Barcode decides what type of drink you are making and adjusts the amount of water and the brew pressure to make that drink the right way.
One thing to watch for is that the machine outputs a little water to the Water Expansion outlet that drains into the Adjustable Cup Stand. So you have to empty it out from time to time. It mentions this in the Manual, but sometimes we tend to read more online than we do from the Manual on our Appliances...
I give it 5 Stars because it does an excellent job on such a variety of drinks even though my favorite coffee brew is still the Senseo with 2 pods of Dark Roast.
