Godinger's Shannon Collection of crystal looks at home in both traditional and contemporary settings. The 24-percent lead crystal is cut with a classic Irish diamond and wedge patterning that sparkles luxuriously. The Dublin martini set features four seven-ounce crystal martini glasses, and a martini shaker base also made of crystal. The top of the shaker is silver-plated and lined with a plastic strainer that fits snuggly into the crystal base. Holding everything together with room for a bowl of olives is a 16-by-11-1/2-inch tray, silver-plated and polished to a mirror shine.

Like all fine crystal and silver-plate, the items in this set should be washed by hand in warm soapy water, then carefully dried with a soft cloth to prevent spotting. Crystal glassware should not be dried or stored on its delicate rims. Designed by Godinger Silver in New York and made in Slovakia, the martini set is gift-boxed and ready to use. --Ann Bieri
