well worth it June 9, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is my first full size food processor and I love it. It makes quick work out of what ever you need to do. It is heavy but that accounts for its great stability and power.
heavy duty processor May 28, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
after reading consumer reports and many reviews, I tracked down multiple prices for this processor and finally ordered it here on Amazon. Even on amazon the price differed, so spend some time...it saves you almost $50!
Well worth the money, this machine is heavy duty...and comes with more attachments that I'll probably ever use, which is a vast improvement over what I had...and that machine lasted for 20 years!
My advice is think ahead -- this is something you'll have for a long time if you take care of it...and I'm happy that I made the choice for this model over some of the others recommended. It's quieter than I expected, and takes up some room, but it looks like this should last forever!
simply outstanding May 23, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I cannot imagine a better unit. It has large capacity. It is powerful. It has every attachment/blade you can imagine. It is sturdy. It is well built. The buttons are protected from getting dirty/compromised. The geometry of the bowl seems to move the food around so that dicing is pretty uniform throughout the contents of the bowl - as good or better than any other food processor I have seen/used (and I have used several as I always help out in the kitchen at family holidays and therefore get to use the high end kitchen appliances of many relatives). What more could you want? Simply a great value for the price. This is probably the best food prep appliance purchase decision I have ever made in my 30+ years of adulthood!
Excellent product, price, & service. May 20, 2008 This is an excellent product ( KitchenAid KFP7500B 700-watt 12-cup food processor, onyx black ), @ a super price ( 129.00 ), direct from Amazon, with free shipping!! It don't get better than this folks.
Let Down By KitchenAid May 16, 2008 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I have cooked professionally for 20 years and have used many brands of food processors. I have never had any trouble ever using a food processor until purchasing this KitchenAid. I waited several years before replacing a Sunbeam that I inherited from my mother-in-law that is now 30+ years old. I had no idea anyone was making food processors that long ago! The thing was a work horse, but had no safety features (it could run with the top completely removed!). Now that I have a child, I decided to upgrade to a safer piece of equipment.
The KitchenAid Processor is a beautiful piece of equipment and very quiet WHEN IT WORKS. Many times I could not get the machine to come on due to the safety switch built into the handle not engaging properly. When I called KitchenAid for help they would walk me through putting it together and made note of my troubles. The last time I called them, it put me over a year since purchase so they replaced it with a refurbished model. That would be fine, however this one is flawed, as well. It has the same problem other reviewers mentioned with the plastic on the blade shaft being shaved off while making a horrible unbearable screeching sound. Now I am back to square one and tempted to toss it and buy a different brand. I could have chopped, grated and worked dough by hand for a year in all the time I have wasted messing with two defective machines. This has been such a disappointment and I feel let down by KitchenAid.
