Mythology meets modern in Gorgona porcelain ware from Versace by Rosenthal. Strong, crisp lines from the flared hexagonal shape make this pure white 21-3/4-inch vase stunningly contemporary. Adding an ancient theme is the head of Medusa, also known as the Gorgon, featured in bas-relief in gold on one side, and on the opposite side, in matte white encircled by a golden Greek key design. Gorgona hexagonal vases are available in a variety of sizes to stand alone as centerpieces or hold fabulous sprays of flowers. This is the largest vase in the series. Ever since Versace, Italy's provocative house of haute couture, and prestigious Rosenthal porcelain of Germany teamed up in 1993, the resulting dinnerware and gift collections have made spectacular waves.
