Jura Capresso E9 June 18, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Great coffee... fast, surprisingly quiet for a machine that also grinds beans and so easy to use for everything... the coffee, espresso and steamed and frothed milk. We had a Keurig single serve coffeemaker previously and find that this is much less expensive than the k-cups, the coffee is better and you have a choice of strengths and cup size. The Keurig was very limited. The coffee from the Impressa is even more controlled if you use the ground coffee, then you select your own amount to use per cup... although I have not had a problem with strengths in the strong, robust setting with beans (I like my coffee strong).
I would definitely recommend this machine.
Good coffee, weak espresso April 17, 2008 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
The Jura-Compresso makes a decent cup of coffee but it is far from an espresso machine. I've been making venti size mochas (with 3 shots of espresso) for 15 years between my Starbuck's Barista and my Delongi machine. When I switched to the Jura I was very disappointed in the strength of the coffee. I also found the frother was terrible at frothing. I contacted Jura and they were very helpful in helping me but in conclusion the machine didn't perform as advertised. I returned it and purchased a DeLongi Magnific and I'm very happy. It makes excellent espresso shots and by using the "mild" setting, you can get an excellent cup of coffee. On one good note, Amazon was very helpful.Jura-Capresso 13204 Impressa E9 Automatic Coffee and Espresso Center
Coffee very weak January 11, 2008 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
Jura-Capresso 13204 Impressa E9 Automatic Coffee and Espresso CenterCannot get a good cup of coffee. Have tried all major brands but the coffee is still weak. Had to return for service after 6months. they replaced the grinder and brewer. Service was very fast and reps are very courteous and helpful.Would not buy an automatic again.
Outstanding Product!! December 3, 2007 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
We we wondering if we had gone overboard spending about $1,000 on a coffee machine but after 200 cups we are sure we did the right thing. The machine has had a lot of use over the past few weeks with family and friends visiting. The comments have been uniformly outstanding. The machine is idiot-proof and the result is great. I figure I will pay for it in 5 years with reduced spending in Starbucks :)
Very poor at frothing October 18, 2007 5 out of 10 found this review helpful
I have owned cappuccino machines for about 25 years and all of them even at 1/10 this price could produce proper milk froth. (I know how to do it and use skim milk.) I have watched the DVD and called for customer support and practiced for weeks to no avail. The froth produced in either the "up" or "down" position of the frothing wand is too loose and bubbly like dish detergent bubbles not thick and creamy. Unfortunately, I have been trying for too long and having passed the 30 days cannot get a full refund. If you like a nice frothy cappuccino, try another brand.
