Great item, bad shippingJune 15, 2008 My order was shipped in three packages. The first two got here fast. The third took about two weeks. We called UPS to find out why the website said there was a delay due to external factors. They said the road was closed due to an event (probably a parade). I laughed because we live on a dirt road with about 10 houses on it. The woman said she'd look into it further & call me back. When she called back, she said she had a driver that is afraid to drive on dirt roads. But, she would be sure the package would be here the next day. When I tracked the package the next day it again said it was delayed due to bad road conditions. I called and spoke to the supervisor who basically said they were NOT going to deliver the package to our house & we could pick it up at their warehouse (which is 30 min. away). I said no. I paid to have it shipped to my house & they were going to deliver it to me. She said ok, it will be held for 5 days & then returned. I said that is unacceptable! I have a 3 month old baby & it is very difficult for me to get out. Plus, I am sure we are not the only people to live on a dirt road to get packages. My neighbor drives a tow truck for a living, the garbage trucks came down our road that morning & so did a semi-truck. Plus everyone that lives on our road. We drive a Nissan Titan & a Chrysler Sebring. The neighbor across the street drives a Neon. How is it we all can make down the road & a week ago the UPS drivers had no problem? Now suddenly this one driver will not come down our road? Needless to say they ended up delivering the package to my husband's work the next day. This is the only time in 3 years of living here that we had this trouble with UPS. We order off the computer all the time. I am very satisfied with my dishes. They are beautiful!!
