Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.com Review Tropical paradise may be far away, but this Block Basics balloon set can erase miles. Whimsical and fun, use these glasses to infuse any tabletop with a little Hawaiian flare. This set of four wine balloons features hand-painted palm trees in a range of greenish hues. The artwork begins at bowl base and extends upward to just past the glass's swell. A circular base sits level and echoes the central color scheme with additional green detail. Appropriate for reds or whites, the full bowl of these glasses work to enhance any wine's aroma. Additional features include slender stems and thin rims to provide comfortable sipping. Affiliated with renowned designer and manufacturer Block China and Crystal, the Block Basics product line features casual tableware with a distinctive design and these glasses reflect that description. Perfect as a unique housewarming gift; hand washing is recommended to preserve painting. --Amy Arnold

Customer Reviews:
Look nice...until you begin to use them August 15, 2005 I echo the sentiments of the first reviewer. They look really nice until you use them and begin to wash them. The paint flakes off in huge pieces and I'm not even talking about washing them with force or anything. The glasses themselves are just fine (thin, but you;d expect that out of a decorative iced tea glass or wine glass), but I wouldnt expect to get a whole lot of use out of these before noticable issues occur with the paint.
Not even worth the shipping January 16, 2004 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Some of the paint came off after the first time I cleaned the glasses (by hand). Maybe they're presentable after the rest is gone. For now - I am really disappointed.
Gift for a summer home... January 10, 2004 I got them for my mother for her summer home, she loved them.. They were well painted and everyone talks about them.. I just got her the ice tea cups to match them..
