A perfect pairing with Corelle's Abundance dinnerware, these matching off-white casserole dishes bear the pattern's signature design of fresh apples and berries around their exterior rims and make lovely and convenient oven-to-table serving vessels. The set includes a large 2-1/2-quart round covered casserole dish for cooking a family-sized macaroni and cheese casserole and a smaller 1-1/2-quart round covered dish for a side of baked beans or ratatouille. Wide handles on either side of the dishes provide a safe grip for carrying to the table and thick, rolled rims reduce spillage. Made of nonporous, heavy stoneware, the dishes and their lids won't stain or absorb flavors or odors. Additionally, all pieces are safe for the dishwasher and can move among the oven, microwave, refrigerator, and freezer without experiencing any cracking due to temperature changes.  3 sets, no breakage January 10, 2008
I was hesitant to order after reading about the breakage problems, but took the chance because I couldn't make a favorite family recipe until I replaced my broken casserole. I am very glad I did! I love this set: they are heavy, good sizes, easy to clean, used several times every week. After using my first set for several months, I ordered two additional sets: a second set for myself (did I say I love them???) and one for a gift. All three sets arrived from Amazon with no breakage via supersaver shipping.

This set is beautiful, very functional, great from frigde to table, nice bowls to take to a covered dish . I just love these.
Great Product July 14, 2007
I've read some of the other reviews and thought I should add my two cents worth. I too received my first shipment with the small lid broken, returned it and received the second shipment intact. The cookware is great. I don't know of any other cookware that I use more often. Now if the manufacturer could just get the quality control up on the packaging we'd all have fewer headaches!

It has the potential to be a great set...and a great price. However, amazon doesn't seem to be able to get it out intact. When I received it, I was worried that it would be broken due to very poor packaging. When I opened it up, I found that the lid to the small dish was broken.
I sent for a replacement, asking for just another lid...because the rest of the set was fine. Amazon then sent another whole set (again poorly packaged)...with another broken lid for the smaller dish. When I sent in a complaint, they said that I was out of luck and that they would not send another. If I wanted I could send in the entire set for a refund.
If amazon really wanted to take care of a customer, they could have sent a replacement lid...or at least a set that was properly packaged. Instead, I have to go to the trouble of shipping both sets back...and I won't end up with anything to show for my troubles.
Until amazon fixes its problems with shipping this product, I would strongly recommend that you not purchase this set.
