 Great Alarm Clock July 19, 2008
This Emerson Alarm Clock Radio is just what I was looking for. I love just opening my eyes in the middle of the night and seeing the time projecting on the ceiling. And it's great to have two alarms! This clock is used everyday and so far it has been very reliable! I'm glad I bought it!

Having read other consumer's comments, all of the above model's preceding attributes are indisputable; its design and operational features are undeniably functional and practical. Yet, there's always room for improvement! One area which EMERSON RADIO should concentrate on is the radio's restrictive use for station tuning. The above radio designed with such advanced technology should be complemented by DIGITAL tuning. Digital tuning provides the customer with accurate station identity, specific station "presetting" capability as well as enhances the customer's ease of use when performing this function in a dark or lighted environment. A digitally tuned feature will add further to this radio's performance and quality.

This clock has a good wall display as well as 2 alarms. We lost power in June!, and the clock kept the time as it was designed to do when the power came back on. I'm glad I spent the extra money and purchased this clock over the less expensive ones.

After reading a lot of reviews on Amazon.com, I purchased the clock for its projection features. In the projection category it is great: the time is subtle on the ceiling, and easy to read. The clock is easy to setup and has a neat feature that the alarm will sound on time if the power is lost. If you are not keen on the time projection feature, then I suggest looking for a clock with digital tuning of stations. Amazon, as always, has consistently delivered the product on time!!
 Nice clock radio, but... June 13, 2008
When the clock radio arrived, it already had a low battery warning indicator on. A new lithium battery cost $7, but it was still cheaper than return shipping, so I bought the battery. That wiped out any savings over purchasing the unit locally.
The smartset feature is a nice idea, however it was programmed about two minutes slow. You can adjust it, but once the power goes out and comes back on, you have to adjust it again.
The projection feature is very nice, projecting large numbers on the ceiling. Very easy to see in most dim to dark light conditions. So far after about a month of running, the clock seems to be keeping very good time.
The weekday/weekend alarm function is very handy, as is having two alarms. The sound quality of the radio is fair, at best, but this isn't something that concerns me. I only listen to talk radio and have a stereo system in my bedroom if I want to listen to music.
All-in-all, I would buy it again, but locally to assure the battery is new.
