My Mother is 89 and this was by far the BEST gift I've given her over the past 10 years. She couldn't remember the Day or the Month over 10 minutes and was driving her crazy. (Me too!)
I read all the wonderful reviews of other elderly folks in the same situation and that's all it took to convince me.
I really don't have any issues with this clock as it works extremely well.
If I could give it 6 stars, I would! I would highly recommend this to any family facing the same problem with their elderly parent.

i bought this for my elderly in-laws who had to look at the newspaper to know what day it was.they don't need too much at this point & asked for a clock that gave the day also.this was more than we had planned to spend but worth it since they can see it from almost anywhere in their fema trailer!

My Dad loves his 'big clock'. We have had other people ask where we got it that have and invalid or an elderly person who gets confused on what day it is. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I think the cost is excessive.

Almost perfect clock for seniors but not quite. The AM and PM indicator lights are not big enough. It only lights a small dot next to the AM and PM. It would have been perfect if the actual "AM"/"PM" LETTERS are lighted instead of just the tiny dot next to it. My mom has difficulty trying to figure out if it's day or night still. Other than than, it's a great clock but expensive. I would recommend only if not too concerned with the am/pm indicator lights.

The Big Digital LED Calendar Clock has been a real benefit for my mother-in-law. It helps keep her oriented to time and date (something she'd been struggling with for some time). Definitely a worthwhile purchase!
Pros:
- Very easy to read, even at a distance. It's something you're not going to miss or forget that it's there!
- Clearly displays both day and date. A lot of other day/date clocks have that information in very small letters, which, for someone with dementia, could result in them forgetting that that information is even shown on the clock. With this clock, the day and date are so prominent that, like the time, it's impossible not to notice.
Cons:
- The controls for adjusting the day and date aren't very intuitive. It took me a couple of minutes to figure out (without reading the instructions, of course!). Could be an issue for someone with dementia to do themselves, but otherwise, not a big deal.
- Price. This clock is about twice as expensive as any other model. Even though it offers some unique functionality (i.e. the size of the letters), it's pricy.
- Could use a base if being placed on a table. Even though it works sitting on a table, it could use a base to help keep it more stable.
All in all, highly recommended!!
