Not A Miracle Worker August 10, 2007

I suffer from chronic constipation and I can tell you that this product is no miracle worker! On the third day of using the detox cleanser I finally had a BM BUT it was nothing to feel "relieved" about. Maybe this product would work for "regular" people but not for us "chronic" people.
I honestly feel ripped off.

I saw an ad for Puranol in a magazine and wanted to try it. It sounded wonderfully promising, but as usual did not detail the ingredients. Upon searching for and reading information about the product, I was very disappointed to learn that its major ingredients include Cascara Sagrada and Senna. At one time I took Cascara Sagrada for a constipation problem. It not only caused me extreme pain, but did not cause any weight loss any more than losing water weight causes weight loss. The weight comes back as soon as you start eating and drinking again.
These stimulant laxatives at best work by stimulating the intestinal walls, and definitely can clean out your system. At worst, they can be very harmful. According to health information that I've read from many sources, they can damage the bowels with habitual use and can lead to dependency. So, I wonder why the directions for these products often, if not always, say to take them on a continual basis. That is what the directions say for Puranol too. I would not touch anything that contains these stimulants with free money given to me. I've found that bulk-forming products and foods work very well to resolve constipation and to control appetite, and are not habit-forming either. For weight loss aids beyond appetite control, Cascara Sagrada and Senna, which I've had similar experience with, have not done anything for me, and only caused such extreme pain that I thought I had something seriously wrong with me.

All this product did was give me a stomach ache & uncomfortable gas for 2 days. I had to stop taking it.

I took this product it did clean out my system but there was no weight loss or did I feel my immune system was any better for it..

I purchased this product with the hopes of purifying my system, but the pills taste nasty and you have to pop like 6 a day. I did not lose any weight either.
