quick food August 8, 2008 Tastes good. Quick meal replacement. I keep these in my fridge at the office.
Green??? Cooommmeee Onnnn August 6, 2008 1 out of 11 found this review helpful
Was going to buy until I saw this in the add:
"Berkeley, California-based Clif Bar is committed to green business practices, joining the fight against global warming, and supporting Partners in Sustainability"
I used to be middle of the road on this eco, green, enviro BS, but with all the extra hype and the way those California eco nazi homos are ruining our economy with their f-ing 'Green' agenda, I go out of my way to avoid products from companies that tout their 'greeness'. I also look for ways to be extra 'Brown' by NOT recycling, burning my trash in my yard, using paper bags at the grocery store and then burning them later (as mentioned above), using plenty of round-up on my yard, littering, etc. If anyone has any ideas as to how to be even more 'Brown', please let me know.
Great for my elder SIL's. August 1, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We are caregivers for an 86 & 87 YO. Feeding them seems a bit worse than dealing with children. They both eat these very well.
Have eaten these also and find them to be most palatable.
Will continue to use these....easy choice to get the ladies their protein.
Great product and great price.
The taste didn't grow on me July 27, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I feel like I've tried most every bar on the market with a balance of carbs and protein. When Clif released these bars I was happy because they were easy to source and I felt like they would be around for a while.
Unfortunately, the more of them I ate, the less I liked them. They're still better than the majority of what's on the market, but taste-wise they're not the best.
On the plus side, you can trust the natural ingredients Clif uses and these aren't loaded with carbs like so many "energy" bars out there.
For my tastes, the Luna Sunrise and Mojo lines are preferable - partly because the bars are a little smaller. The Builder bar at close to 300 calories is a little larger than I would prefer as a snack.
Builders' Bars -- Delicious! July 25, 2008 These are really good for you (wholesome ingredients), filling and nutritious enough to replace a meal, delicious (REALLY tasty), and reasonably priced (especially when bought by the box). The only thing I don't like, which may be a function of shipping, is that the coating is a bit crumbly -- so be careful if you're eating a bar in the car!
