Wonderful product June 27, 2008 Not sure why this item has received any bad reviews. These blueberries are just what I needed. Freeze-dried and naturally sweet.
Regular/traditionally dried blueberries (not freeze-dried) often have sugar added to make them sweet, which I cannot have, so I am ecstatic that these are so good.
I ordered a whole case and none of the blueberries were pulverized, no extra powder, they are all beautiful and whole.
Just what expected June 11, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Previous reviewes told of the mess involved with these, they obviously have not had freeze dried fruit before. Wether it is blueberries, strawberries, lychees or any other fruit, you will have a bit of a mess from the product. Get over it! Wash your hands, brush your teeth. Now for the item at hand, Blueberries. Typical freeze dried berries with good taste and that wonderful powder! Can not be improved.
Not what I expected February 11, 2008 Not what I was expecting and will not order again. I was looking for dried fruit. This product was powdery and what wasn't was hard.
don't buy for travels September 1, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I really wanted these to work for travels where I pack all my own food. However, they are a decidedly poor alternative for travels, since most of the outer coating of the fruit turns into very messy powder. The strawberry flavor is slightly less of an ordeal in that regards but still messy. They are probably good for you if you want a stowaway fruit you can use when you haven't gotten to the store for awhile or want it out of season to sprinkle into something, but otherwise the price and messiness are both much too prohibitive. I've bumped it up from two stars to three, however, after considering how they keep the enzymes intact and don't add sulfites.
some good, some not... August 23, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
some of these survived shipping ok. some were 90% pulverized dust by the time they got to my home. Would buy again, just not sure I would order these again from Amazon (usually these are very good from the local stores).
